Visiting Faculty
The Center for Systems Biology Dresden caters to a global community in the area of its research mission. We wish to be a place where colleagues and students from around the world meet and develop a supportive international network. Therefore, the CSBD continuously offers funded opportunities for visitors and guests at all levels.
With the ELBE Visiting Faculty Program, the CSBD also runs a guest/sabbaticals program. Junior and Senior Faculty working in the area of the Center’s mission can join us for a duration of their choice. During their stay at CSBD, visiting faculty closely interact with the research groups at the CSBD and the two Max Planck Institutes. If desired, they may also contribute to teaching. A call for the ELBE Visiting Faculty Program is now open and applications can be submitted here. The deadline is the 30th of November 2025. Applications should at least include a CV, publication list, and a letter of motivation detailing the connection to CSBD and the work intended to be done during the visit, as well as details of the requested financial support. Financial support is provided upon agreement and by request of the visitor. Decisions about ELBE visiting faculty are taken by the Center’s scientific committee.
